ORALIA
Oralia is a long-time devotee of Middle
Eastern dance. She has studied classical
Egyptian bellydance in depth with Kameal
in Corvallis, OR and modern Egyptian
dance with Astryd Farah in Eugene. Oralia
has travelled to Cairo and taken group,
private, and semiprivate lessons with the
top teachers and performers of Egyptian
bellydance including Mona el Saaid, Diane
Tarkhan, Randa Kamel, Shalaby, and Liza.
Like the music of the Middle East, Oralia's
dance is both energetic and subtly nuanced, combining detailed technique with deep emotional content. At times playful and flirtateous, firey or introspective, Oralia lets you know how she is feeling through the dance.
